Unlike many products on the market, Solus takes certification seriously. Therefore, our gas burners and components are fully certified not just in the UK, but across North America and Europe. We undergo a rigorous testing and certification process through KIWA, one of the most respected testing bodies in the industry. These certifications ensure that our products meet — and often exceed — the strict safety, environmental, and performance standards required in each region.
In the UK, it’s essential to look for the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking. This confirms that a product meets the necessary UK safety and compliance regulations. This replaced the CE marking in Great Britain, however the CE marking is still used in the EU and Northern Ireland. All Solus products are certified CE and UKCA, along with Canadian CSA and American ANSI certifications. However, many fire pits sold online do not carry these vital certification, so don’t be fooled — not all fire pits are created equal. If a product lacks proper certification, it’s not only potentially unsafe but may also void your home insurance or local council compliance.
To maintain the full benefits of our warranty and ensure safe operation, we also require that any gas installation be carried out by a professional listed on the Gas Safe Register. If your installer isn’t certified — don’t use them!
To make your Solus experience seamless, we offer free shipping across the UK, with no hidden fees. We have local warehouses in the UK and Europe. Special order items are carefully packaged and shipped directly from our Canadian headquarters. Every item is crated securely to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
When you choose Solus, you’re not only choosing beautiful, handcrafted design, you’re choosing internationally certified safety, peace of mind, and outstanding service from start to finish.
