Shipping and Lead Times

Solus products are designed, built, certified and tested in Canada at our head office and manufacturing studio. Solus has warehouses in the UK, Europe and North America where product is stocked and available for quick shipment in these areas.

IN UK STOCK PRODUCTS
Delivery from our UK warehouse to a UK address is included in the price of fire and water features. Orders typically ship within 4-10 working days.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS
Due to the wide range of product configurations (numbering in the hundreds) and seasonal demand fluctuations, not all items are stocked in the UK or Europe.
Products shipped from outside the UK are subject to an international delivery charge of £340–£540 (inc. VAT) in addition to the product price. Estimated shipping lead time is 10–12 weeks.

In some cases, stock may be available in our Spain warehouse. Where applicable, delivery lead time can be reduced to approximately 1–4 weeks.

If you require faster delivery, air freight can be arranged upon request. Please contact us for a custom air freight quotation based on your order details. Once approved, payments for the order and associated freight charges will be arranged in accordance with the agreed terms.

Description

Modern concrete water bowls.

A nod to historical architectural and nautical forms, the Scupper water bowl combines clean edged, mechanically formed metal with smooth, hand-cast concrete. These formal elements are brought to life by the liquid movement and pleasing sound of falling water. Entering from a central opening in the bottom of the concrete bowl, water fills the vessel creating a deep pool that spills out through the reflective channel of the scupper. The polished metal and pooled, cascading water combine to create interesting reflections as light plays over their surfaces.

Hand-cast concrete bowls provide a solid sculptural counterpoint. Available in three sizes, these water bowls can be used in a variety of situations including installations with in-ground catch basins and existing ponds. Appropriate for use indoors or out for residential and commercial installations.

Configurations

  • Self contained:These water features allow you to incorporate the experience of water into a setting which does not have an existing water source. This type of configuration holds and circulates all of its own water and requires only a standard electrical connection for the internal pump. Once you place your water bowl,  assemble it and add the required amount of water you simply plug it in and enjoy it.
  • Integrated models: Our water features can be configured to connect into an external water source to become part of a larger system. Integrated water features rely on an external pump or drainage system and can be used in a variety of ways. Call us to discuss your project.

Product Details

  • Each of our water bowls is hand cast  from high performance, fibre reinforced concrete which has been tested to ASTM standards.
  • All concrete pieces are sealed with a penetrating sealer to minimise weathering. Metal surfaces are electro-polished and or treated with a reversible protective coating to maintain their polish and protect them from the elements.
  • Locally made scuppers are treated and sealed to maintain their bright finish.
  • Stainless steel, aluminium and PVC component parts.
  • German designed, Italian ,made  pumps with variable water flow control.
  • Assembled by hand and tested in our Vancouver facility.
  • Each of our water features comes with a warranty on workmanship and performance.

Ordering

  • Solus Water Features are available direct through Solus to both homeowners and the trade.
  • In stock products will be ready to ship within 2 – 7 days. If not in stock in our Birmingham warehouse it will usually take between 6 – 10 weeks depending on shipping schedule and time of year.  If you have special requirements please contact our sales team to discuss options.
  • All water features are individually wrapped and crated in museum quality crates to ensure that they arrive to you in perfect condition. Orders within the greater Vancouver area are individually wrapped on pallets.

Shipping

World wide shipping options include:

  • Kerbside delivery places your crates or pallets on the street in front of your location where they can be unpacked. Lifting of the products into place is not included with this delivery option.
  •  Airfreight by special request.

I purchased a natural gas hemi 36 back in 2014, and my family has been using it regularly for the past four years. There’s a lot to like about this product and this company. To begin with, our sales and delivery experience was first-rate. I was a little hesitant about having a heavy concrete product shipped from Vancouver to Edmonton, but I needn’t have worried. Our fire bowl arrived very well packed and crated. Moving the fire bowl into our back yard was easy using the supplied lifting straps, but does require two people. Once installed over the gas line we had run for this purpose, the fire bowl looked stunning–sleek and modern and an instant focal point. We also purchased the hardwood tabletop and all-weather cover, and after living with them for four years, I can recommend both. The tabletop has proven very useful for those times when we’re sitting outside with food and beverages, but have no intention of lighting the fire bowl. The all-weather cover, at least the one we have, has worn like iron. After four Edmonton winters, it’s still in remarkably good shape. The fire bowl itself has exceeded our expectations; it’s easy to light,

Fire in my backyard!!! I love my Solus fire bowl. It is very contemporary looking and a very high quality make. It’s easy to use and as far as I’m concerned required no maintenance. The cover for the bowl has lasted many winters and will certainly enture many more. It has a beautiful flame output, however I wish it had a little more. I would definitely recommend solus as an addition to anybodies backyard.
